I am… You!

The project I am… You! investigates the unstable construction of identity and the fragmented relationship between the self and its internal multiplicities. The works emerge from a psychological landscape in which identity no longer exists as a singular or coherent condition, but as a shifting constellation of overlapping selves continuously negotiating memory, survival, protection, desire, and emotional instability.

Within this framework, multiple personalities are not approached merely as pathological symptoms or mechanisms of escape, but as alternative psychological structures through which consciousness attempts to confront trauma, alienation, fear, and the pressure of reality itself. The fragmented self generates parallel identities, each carrying its own language, emotional balance, perception, and internal logic.

The project approaches identity not as a fixed essence, but as a performative and continuously reconstructed condition. The mirror repeatedly appears as both symbol and psychological threshold — a surface where the self simultaneously recognizes and loses itself. Reflection no longer confirms identity; instead, it destabilizes it, producing uncertainty between what is real, imagined, remembered, or psychologically projected.

Memory functions here as an active and unstable force rather than a passive archive. Childhood traces, accumulated experiences, emotional fractures, and suppressed anxieties repeatedly return through fragmented visual narratives that resist linear chronology. The past does not remain behind the subject; it continuously infiltrates the present, reshaping consciousness and generating new psychological formations.

The project further explores the subconscious mechanisms through which one identity gradually attempts to dominate the others in order to establish psychological control and preserve internal coherence. The self therefore becomes a theater of continuous negotiation, where identities exchange roles according to circumstance, fear, vulnerability, and necessity. Every personality functions simultaneously as both defense and concealment.

Visually, the works draw upon psychodrama, symbolic fragmentation, and surreal psychological tension. Figures appear suspended between presence and performance, reality and hallucination, intimacy and estrangement. Fragmented bodies, repeated symbols, theatrical atmospheres, and unstable spatial constructions create visual environments in which identity remains perpetually unfinished and in continuous transformation.

Rather than presenting the self as unified or complete, I am… You! reveals identity as an open psychological structure shaped by contradiction, fragmentation, memory, and perpetual reinvention. The works ultimately inhabit the unstable territory between self and other, consciousness and projection, where the question “Who are you?” persists without a final answer.
